Canada Green Building Conference – June 6th to 9th, 2016

The High Commission of Canada, in partnership with UK Trade & Investment invite you to join a British delegation to Building Lasting Change: the Canada Green Building Council National Conference and Expo in Toronto, Canada from June 6th to 9th, 2016.

The conference focuses on the impact that green (sustinable) buildings have by connecting sustainably-minded businesses, organizations and individuals, and encouraging them to look beyond their day to day work and envision building lasting change. The conference includes many networking opportunities, including a gala dinner and awards ceremony, over 30 education sessions, and an Expo featuring innovative products and services from across the Canadian green building industry.

The International Programme.

This year the CaGBC has developed an International Program, a special four-day program for international delegates with an interest in exploring the landscape of Canada’s green building industry, interacting with Canadian companies, and to identifying potential business and partnership opportunities.  Highlights exclusive to the International Program include:

  • One day tour and event to showcase Toronto companies operating in lighting, energy management, ventilation, off-site construction, environmental systems and more.
  • Green building tours to some of the cities most advanced performing structures including MaRS Innovation Centre, Waterfront Toronto, Bridgepoint Hospital, and George Brown College (Waterfront Campus).
  • Sustainable Policy Roundtable.  The City of Toronto a global leader in sustainability defining the future of low energy cities and considered among the greenest in North America.  Along with London (UK), Toronto is a founding member of C40 Cities, a network of the world’s megacities committed to addressing climate change.
  • Business to business matchmaking meetings to ensure you meet the companies and organisations that you need to meet.
  • Networking opportunities including a Welcome Breakfast for the International Delegation, and a Networking Lunch with Canadian industry leaders and government officials.
